Geba Ministry

What We Do!

With the start of a new year, God has placed upon our hearts a desire to begin a new ministry in our community under the banner of The Geba Project. The Geba Project is simply a group of teenagers who want to make a difference for God in our community.

Previously as a group we have focused on supporting missionaries financially through functions such as: Christmas in July, a movie night and various other fundraisers.

This year we wish to expand to outreach in our community through a program called Over the hill. This entails going to various elderly peoples homes once a month on a Saturday and doing odd jobs such as: mowing and weeding, which they may not be able to do themselves. And would also have a chat with them about life and God. We hope to show the love of Jesus through our actions. We also want to share Jesus publicly and boldly in our community.

We have distributed many tracts in radical ways in the community. We have also had opportunity to get the gospel onto the local buses.

Our goal is to run a kids club in the September holidays at Goomboorian. We also hope to run a survivor male youth camp and possible a beach mission next year. Our long-term goal is to eventually buy and run a soup kitchen for the homeless and backpackers in the Cooloola region.
